Light Publications and Mark Binder Books is one of the oldest craft publishing collaborations in New England.
Founded in 1999 by Mark Binder, an award-winning author and storyteller, the small company is known for its diverse shelf of craft-published books for families, adults and children of all ages.
"Some authors simply write their books," Mark Binder says. "As both a performing storyteller and a craft publisher, I believe that the completed volume is more than the sum of its parts."
Based in Providence, our books have won, been nominated and been finalists for national and international awards, including: The Audies Audiobook Award for Best Original Work, Parents’ Choice Gold for Audio Storytelling, The National Jewish Book Award for Family Literature, the Digital Book Award, Next Generation Indie Book Award, Digital Book World Award and the Ben Franklin Award.
