The-sew-op is a woman owned business. Suzanne Mancini has a BFA in Apparel Design from RISD and worked as a designer in NYC. She has a M.Ed. from NYU and has combined her love of teaching with her fashion background. She returned to RI to teach garment construction and pattern making at RISD for 16 years. Her experience in design studios and factories throughout the world bring a base of knowledge not often found in a traditional sewing studio. Suzanne has hired many of the finest teachers in garment construction as well as quilting. The expanded shop also offers fabrics, notions, patterns and gift items. Come sew with us!

In this one week camp you will learn all the steps to make a lap quilt. Choosing from precut squares, you will piece, quilt and bind your first lap quilt. You must have experience with a sewing machine or completed Kid Beginner to take this class. M-F, 10am-12pm. All materials are included.
