Harry Adler, Adler's Design Center and Hardware in RI, creates a Rhode Island Photography Exhibit
Harry Adler of Traveling in Place

Pawtuxet Village resident Harry Adler records stunning images during his early morning running routine. For the last several years, after a close call with a blocked artery in his heart, he has run six days a week.

Every day, he sees things in a different light, and sometimes he stops to take a photo with his phone. After posting his photos on social media, he gained a following ; and neighbors thanked him for beautiful views they'd never seen - their own neighborhood before the sun came up.

And Traveling in Place was born. His photographs and gift cards are for sale, and all funds are donated to The Village Common, which offers support to older adults in need of a friend or visitor, a snack, or a ride to an appointment.

Excerpts have been taken from a 2021 Providence Journal article written by Donita Naylor.
