Business Overview

My name is Dave and I craft jewelry from Cumberlandite, the official state rock of Rhode Island. This very special and unique rock is hundreds of millions of years old (possibly even a billion) and is an igneous rock comprised of 24 different minerals including iron, feldspar, titanium, and fluorite. You can see my hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind items in the online store. I am self-taught and have always enjoyed making stuff that people can enjoy. Customized, and personalized items are available.

I am a finance professional by trade, but enjoy creating things and working with my hands. When Cumberlandite entered my life through a real estate purchase, I knew it was special, and have spent the past few years sculpting it into small pendants strung from leather or hemp cords. My work has been purchased coast to coast, and is a real favorite of former Rhode Islanders who now live elsewhere. Rocks are so connected to place, and this one is about as special as they get! I have been featured on RI PBS, Our Town, Cumberland!
