Business Overview
The Opulent Squid was born of a passion to make jewelry that is luxurious and blingy, yet quirky and a bit off kilter. Upcycled and vintage components have always been staples in my jewelry making; most of my pieces are made from reclaimed and repurposed materials. Upcycling not only inspires my creativity, it also helps to minimize the amount of waste that goes to landfills. Vintage buttons, old keys, religious relics, paper, fabric, and broken china are just some of the many items from which I draw inspiration. The result is beautiful, one of a kind pieces.
